I think hillary would have a hard time winning.. just because many have already made up their mind about her...
but, others... Edwards or Bayh... I think they could roll into the white house... especially looking at who the repubs have out there now...

It depends on the Democrats over the next two years. If they make all these sweeping "progressive" changes they hint at, I think Republicans will either retake control or at least even it out. If the Democrats are subtle in the way they handle their changes, I think they'll probably maintain or increase their lead.
As far as the Presidency goes, it depends on who runs on the Democratic ticket. I think if either Hillary Clinton or Barack Hussein Obama run, then the Republican, whoever it is, will win hands down. One reason each: Hillary is NOT a people person and this country will NOT elect someone with Hussein as his middle name and a last name that sounds like Osama. Guarantee it.
I think Edwards has a decent chance.
I think McCain and/or Condi has a good chance. I also like Romney's chances.

It all depends on how the Democrats behave themselves for the next few years while managing the country. If the American people don't like it, they will speak by voting for a republican or conservative president. If somehow the hard work that George W. Bush has done is accredited with the democrats, (God forbid), then yes the liberals will take control of the country.

Who knows, its still a lil way away, a moderate Republican might pull it off, like McCain who the media loves, or Guiliani, but everyone know's the media loves the Democratic party, and is going to be in love with whoever gets their nomination.
To the person who posted a few spots above me, you obviously dont know your electoral history, no president has been decided in backrooms in years. In the past Presidential nominations where decided at conventions and the primaries were basically a joke, but since idk the late 60's the primary has become the key in nominating president's, by ballot. Backroom deal's in deciding who is president, doesnt happen anymore.
John McCain in 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After two years of the Democrats the people will remember why they put them out in the first place so yes I do think the Republicans have a chance.

the next 2 years are a important time, the dems have the power back in congress.. it is up to them to prove they can make headway, if the far left gets too much placating they will not win a persidental election The dems can;t be teh party of oppisition anymore since they willhave a majority they have to make thier own efforts and blaming Pres Bush isnt a valid arguemnt anymore, they will make or break themselves

It's way too early to be making those predictions but I wouldn't mind seeing it happen that way. Hillary is unelectable on a national basis

The election of 2008 is still two years away. Anything could happen, but unless the Democrats field a real dud, I think they have the inside track.
