I had a couple of Collector bears way up on the top of cabinets in my kitchen. Needless to say, they have sticky icky kitchen grease on them. Does anyone have anything I can try to degrease them??

Thanks..Vanessa

Try Dawn soap. It works wonders! Good luck!

Read the labels, if they are reasonably modern, they should be machine washable. They lost their collectibility when they got dirty.

A few years ago at a yard sale I bought about 20 stuffed animals for 25 cents each. I ran them all through a warm wash in the washer and only one died. All of the rest came out like new.

Failing Dawn, put them in separate pillowcases and wash them separately. Throw some diluted dishwashing detergent and baking soda into the wash with them and be sure to use cold water.

If I had a nickel for every time I have had to deal with that same problem!
First, you want to make sure your bears are comfortable. Prop them up in some place not too far from where they had last been kept so they won't be scared. Then, drown them.
