math has always been my favorite and strongest subject in school. now that i'm in college it is my worse. i know there are two branches of math:pure and applied. could it be that i'm more custom to applied math than pure. it is kinda of hard because i really do like math

I was in a similar situation. Math became much tougher for me in college and I always had top marks for math in high school. Many people have the same experience you describe, so you are not alone.

College math is just harder. Doesn't mean that you don't like it anymore, unless you don't LOL me, I never liked math XD so I'm never taking another math class if I can help it LOL
