The Seagull would be my choice.
Both guitars are nice, but the bowlback on the Ovation has me disenchanted. They are hard to hold when sitting down and feel really weird when standing. They also have that hollow "milk jug" tone in my opinion... that being said I have a couple of Ovations but hardly ever play them.
On the other hand, the Seagull, with the cedar to with cherry back and sides has a "different" tone to it. I build a guitar with a cedar top and sycamore back and sides and find that people like the volume and the looks but not the middly tone that cedar offers. I've never owned a Seagull, but being in the business I pay attention to fit and finish and sound, and for the money I think that it is a good value.

that is a very pretty one, the ovation but I am sorta partial to them...I have two, a twelve string and a six string...one thing about ovations if you do not have one...they are not as prone to get damaged ie scratch resistant on the back...they sound good and are very comfy to play...yours is a lot more snazzy than mine! wowzers!

my son has a washburn similar to the ovation. very sweet guitar, i play a fender strat

Fender Stratocaster american made or Gibson would be my choice for great sound.
