Find out what's really special to her. For example, see if she had a favorite book as a child and find it for her. It's not necessarily the price of the gift but the thought that counts so you'll be able to find the perfect gift if you get something that's special to her even if it's a hard to find candy and some nice jewelry that you think she'd like.

The perfect gift is always something you put thought and plenty of effort into. The best things I have from my husband are things he made. He handcrafted a pop-up card featuring he and I going over a bridge into the sunset with little pop-up bushes and trees all around and a little homegrown poetry.
You will never go wrong with something you made especially for her. I had a boyfriend once who made me a leather pocket knife holster. Not horribly romantic at first glance, but it meant SO much to me because I knew the amount of hours he had to put into it. He even burned a picture of my dog's face into the front. The holster didn't fit my knife, but I loved it just the same and I've treasured it all these years.
If you have a skill, use it for her. Can you work with wood? Make her a jewelry box. It'll be a treasure for sure. Are you a poet? Write her a little book of poetry about what she means to you.
Can you write music? Compose her a song and sing it for her, she'll just die. Can you work with leather? Make her a fashionable belt, or a purse.
The point is to show her that you spent a good deal of time thinking about her. I once got a plain card, made on the computer, on regular paper as a dating anniversary gift, but the presentation made it wonderful. My boyfriend wrapped it in a giant box full of helium balloons and sneaked it into my dorm room while I was away. He had two other mylar balloons with words of love on them and when I opened the box all the balloons flew out and revealed the card he had designed.
Get creative. She will love love LOVE you for it. I promise.

My answer to this question depends on where you are in your relationship, and what she likes. I can't fully answer unless i know. If you have been together for a year or longer, i would say jewelry is appropriate. You could also maybe take her on a trip to somewhere she's always wanted to go, but never has (my boyfriend took me to Chicago for my 21st birthday, i loved it). Maybe buy her tickets for the two of you to her favorite band, or something else she likes. If it is cold where you are, you could take her on a romantic skiing/snowboarding trip. Or if it is warm you could take her horseback riding if she likes animals. Or you could buy her something she loves, like a new purse or sweater or something. These are all of the things that I would love as a gift, but you will have to modify them to her tastes. Good Luck,i hope you find the perfect gift.

Jewelry is a good option. Something nice that compliments her fashion sense would be appreciated. Or how about a gift card to Victoria's Secret? Then she can get a special something she has been eyeing there. Another great gift is perfume. Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker is my favorite romantic scent and I got it from my guy for my birthday last year.

Try the "gift" section on Shopallstoresonline.com for ideas - several small things might be better than one big one - how about a vacation?
