I'm trying to plan something out for my girlfriend's birthday. I was thinking about taking her to the Montage restaurant and the spa treatment. How much will both come out to? Approx.

Something nice...

If you go to the Montage Resort website (assuming that is what you're talking about), and click on their dining options, they list the restaurants and most have menus posted too!

Here is the Montage Loft dinner menu: http://www.montagelagunabeach.com/dining/Loft-Dinner.pdf

For Montage Spa... I'm not sure about that one, but you should get her a gift certificate to Glen Ivy or Burke Williams so she can enjoy it later.

Glen Ivy is great.

If you want to stay in Orange County... I my ex put together this birthday "weekend" gift at Laguna Hills Cliff.

We stayed there for the weekend, less than $200.00/a night, and he got me a 1/2 hour full body massage. I think everything came out to less than $300.00 for the weekend stay and spa.

(Then again, he didn't tell me how much the massage cost, but it's usually $ 60-90 at resorts. Outside spas are cheaper)

Laguna Cliffs, a Marriott, has a great location, great views, great surrounding restaurants, and lots to do, if you don't plan on staying in your rooms ;-)

However... I think thoughtful gifts that show you know the person always "tickle my fancy."

Have a great time!
