Not unless he/she is really imaature and you're afraid they might burn the house down.

But otherwise, no. They can stay alone by themselves.

No if it is for a couple of hours after school. If it is during the night a "companion" that is older would probably be a more apt description. A child is legally allowed to be home alone at age 11 but that depends upon what you feel the level of maturity is. At twelve a child is legally allowed to babysit others. Hope this helps.

YES-----but dont call it a babysitter, have it be a older teen to come and hang out with them..........

It woulld also depend on the time of the day, how long alone, how far the parent/s are going....... and hte 11 year old in qustion

Well, not necessarily a babysitter, but someone to watch them, an 11 yr old will get into trouble when their parents arent watching them.

It depends on how responsible an eleven year old is. Then in some states you have to be thirteen to be left alone without an adult. In my opinion if you are responsible and dont get in alot of trouble then no, but if you mess up and lose a parents trust then yes. That is the way my parents did me.

If they are going to be left alone for more than an hour or so, then i say yes. They should have a babysitter. But if your just running downtown for a minute, then they should be fine alone.
