I am not sure what you mean. I am a heterosexual though I have a few gay friends. Are homosexuals supposed to act in a certain way ? I am not sure what you mean by your question. I am not judging you as homophobic or anything and would like to respectfully submit that you should read a little more about this, perhaps a good sociology book.
Most people look for common grounds, you would see hispanics in a barrio, chinese in a "china-town", etc. share common behaviour. It is no surprise that homosexuals and other repressed communities share certain survival traits as well.
