Okay, I have been getting mixed signals about my pregnancy. I'm 17 and I found out today that I was pregnant and I have been getting all these mixed signals from people about it. Some are making a joke out of it some are just shocked and others keep saying that I should have had more precautions. I don't quite know what to make of it. Did anyone ever have these kinds of mixed signals. I've been getting the mixed signals from my family and people closest to me. It's driving me mad that people who should be happy for me are having trouble seeing me as pregnant and people who are crazy about me but barely know me say its a blessing. Did anybody out there ever get these types of signals from friends and family?

First off CONGRATS!!!!!You know what, I believe things happen for a reason.I got pregnant at 17 and had her a week after I turned 18.I am now pregnant again and will turn 20 about two weeks before the baby is due.So I am a young mother. My mom was also one too.I know how it hurts when people your closest to aren't feeling the happiness you feel about the situation, believe me.I just kinda dealt with it.They were either with me or against me.If they are against you then they don't really care for you as much as you thought they did.I just want you to know that I feel for you as do so many other people. If you ever need to talk,I know we don't know each other but I'm here. You can email me at redeminem1262@yahoo.com I hope I helped a little. :)

I was 15 when I first got pregnant, And my mom was by my side the whole time but I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks. I had my first daughter when I was 17 and my second daughter at 19 and I am curlenty 5 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby and will be 20 when it is born. Its hard, I felt like the only person I ad to help me was my mom and my husband. My grandmother is a big part of my life, and she made me feel so bad everytime I told her. She doesnt know about number 3 yet. But now that they are here, she calls me everyday to check on them and asks me to come down at least once a week so she can see them. The thing is, is that when your baby comes into this world, the people that though it would be a bad thing, will love him/her just as much as you do. Everything will work out and just dont take negitive comments to heart, the people will come around. Best of luck to you and your blessing. Congrats!!!!

A friend of mine got pregnant at 16, and it was kind of like that.

We'd go shopping and old ladies would come up to her to say "You look radiant, dear, the baby will be beautiful." but people we knew would say things like "that is SUCH a bad idea. Give it away."

Even if you were 37 instead of 17, you'd get mixed signals. Then some people would say you're too old, you're too busy working, you shouldn't have waited because now you can only have one ... and so on. It's normal.

People who are close to you and who you want to be happy can't see you as pregnant because they *know* you. People don't like change. They're imaging you as a mother and seeing you won't have as much time for them, it'll be hard, etc, etc. All these things. And as human beings, we're afraid of change. People who DON'T know you are still forming a picture of you in their minds. And since you've just met, it includes you being pregnant. They pick up on your happiness and express it themselves. They have nothing to be afraid of! This is the only way they'll over know you.

So really, it's just about change. Nobody likes it much. Even when it's a happy change it's stressful, and age has little to do with that. Sure, if your parents were shocked or whatever, your age has something to do with it for them. But it's mostly the fear of change.

Hon, I am 31 and a single mother who decided to have another one. My family is very relgious and it is a very contraversial subject. Only a few close friends and a few open minded co-workers are happy for me. The rest will come around edventually when they see how together you are and what a great mom you are. When I had my daughter, same thing. But everyone came around. Now that I am pregnant and going through this again (people judging rather than joining my happiness), I am less worried, because when that baby is born, they will all accept it like they did my first one. You are very young though, so I think you will be more cristisized then I was. But don't worry, it doesn't last forver

I was 16 when I found out I was pregnant and yes it was rough my own grandmother offered to pay for an abortion which was strange because I always thought she was against it. My dad didn't talk to me for 8 years people made fun of me asked me what I was going to do all the time the only people that seemed happy was the baby's father's family. Everyone expected me to be a failure but I proved them all wrong I have worked very hard for everything I have my daughter is now 13 and I raised her mostly alone because her dad ended up being a low life but women are strong and especially those who have children that they love.

because the reasoning in the back of the regulation is that an individual having sex with an underage individual is taking earnings of that individual's innocence and absence of journey -- there are nevertheless some countries following the British criminal gadget the position the note "defilement" is used. If young ones having underage sex were to be prosecuted, then each and each and every of the events in contact would must be charged and each and each and every will be both culpable. it ought to no longer somewhat be argued that one had corrupted the different. those who're at fault interior of our gadget are the human beings who promote an training gadget suggesting that it truly is generic for persons of this age to have sexual pastime, to the quantity of dispensing condoms and encouragers to treat the entire remember of sexual freedom as generic or maybe perfect. dad and mom who proceed to uphold moral criteria are battling adversarial to the tide -- yet they ought to proceed to finish that.
