When my brother and I were little kids (under 4 feet tall) we used to go to the park and feed the ducks. Only problem was the geese would come charging at us, showing their razor like teeth until we threw the bread down and ran for our lives. Have you experienced an encounter like this or are the geese more vicious in California?
Yeah it's a random question, but I'll give you 10 points if I like your answer

We had some geese that made a nest in our yard. The eggs hatched and there were 6 little geese following the big ones around. There was a really bad storm with high winds. The wind was rolling the little geese through the yard like little balls of feathers. I got a box and went outside to try to help them.

One by one I picked them up and put them in the box. I dropped the last one in the box and as I was standing up I saw something big right in front of me. It was the male goose flying full speed right at me. By the time I realized what was happening it was too late to duck. He hit me right in the forehead. He must have been going about 40 miles an hour when he hit me because it knocked me backwards on to the ground.

Little geese were flying everywhere. I was so pi--ed off that I was chasing him around in the rain because I wanted to wring his scrawny neck.

When I went in the house my wife was hysterical because she had seen the whole thing.

I never tried to help a goose after that.

Don

Well I'm in Cali also.....I think they are really mean, too. We used to go feed the ducks too and the geese would chase us and bite at the ducks to get them to leave the food (bread) alone. Reading your description made me laugh cuz the same thing has happened to us and I can picture it just as you described it. Too funny!

was it spring time? if they had gooselings (sp) then they were being pretective of them, but yes, geese are mean birds. I've learned that if you stand up to them, (like a bully) and hiss back at them they leave you alone, and or run away. They are evilest in the spring. If you think geese are mean... wait till you meet a swan...

I've been attacked by geese and a swan, the swan was the worst! (I never saw any teeth on either though).

Satan's spawn for sure

Razor teeth or not, I can't stand the millions of little green cartridges they leave on the sidewalks.
