Nations unite because of a common cause a becuase what they are fighting for would be a benefit to both countries, or that they allies. In WWII the U.S. and Russia worked together only because they both saw the need to defeat the Nazis even though they still hated one another.

By agreement. In World War Two for instance. Some countries lined up on the side of Hitler because they thought he would capture the world, and they would be favored for helping him.
Other countries, not wanting to be taken over by Hitler joined England and France in their fight to save their freedom. Some like Italy were buddy-buddy with Hitler, but when it was obvious that Hitler would loose the war, changed sides to be with the victors.

very nicely, you ought to assert something like: The Civil war replaced into no longer fought to deliver slavery in the beginning up. The south replaced into for states ideal(they had the right to cessede from the union) Lincoln did no longer opt for them to cessede. Lincoln in simple terms needed the Union back mutually "a house divided can't stand." The North had to maintain the Union mutually. Say that the two believed they have been appropriate, however the North had greater firepower. Yeah, and upload slightly something appropriate to the final history of it.

Its called treaties and alliances. Diplomats sign them. Then one country sends troops to the other country. They pick up pea-shooters and they go bang.

They look at which side they wish to win, and which side is fighting for what they believe. Or they look at which side is more threatening to their way of life, and then join them to save their @$$.
