I am 5 weeks pregnant. This is my first pregnancy so I don't know what to expect. Yesterday and today I have had painful cramping in my uterus area.

For about 10 minutes I will be in bad pain and then it just goes away. I don't have any bleeding, vomiting, or anything else. It just feels like bad menstrual cramps that make me sick to my stomach.

Is this normal?

I called my doctor and he said its ligaments in my uterus stretching for the baby, but it is suppose to hurt this bad?

Oh you betchya.

Mine were so bad before I knew I was pregnant that i took pain killers for a week and wore a pad waiting to bleed.

Just wait until your round tendons kick in. You'll think you're dying.

Oh yes, it does start to hurt a little at first. Your body isn't used to something 'foreign (I hate calling it that, lol)'. Your doc is right. I myself have had 3 babies. The first one hurt the most, as my body was trying to stretch for the baby.

Congrats!

Get a second opinion. This is too serious to be asking on Yahoo
