you can have sex that soon after delivery, either way, but you will greatly increase your chances of infection, and slow your healing process. not to mention the pain of it!

You just went through childbirth, your body needs some time to heal internally and rest. That is why the doctors say to wait six weeks. It doesn't sound very considerate of your boyfriend to be pushing for sex before your stitches have even healed. You also will need this time to bond with your baby and as a family. He should be spoiling you rotten right now after what you've just gone through :)
If you do decide not to wait the whole six weeks, also remember that you must use some form of birth control if you have intercourse, you can get preganant again, even if you are nursing.

My God no! You are not in any way shape or form healed and if your stitches come out, you're in big trouble. You could develop an infection, get inflamed, etc. Sex=pain at this point in the game Tell him to buzz off for a few weeks and take care of him in other ways. You can seriously hurt yourself. If you absolutely must get some, wait at least 2 weeks and see how it feels. Tell him to take it slow.

Actually, you are suppose to wait up to 6 weeks before intercourse. not only to watch out for the stitches but also any risk of infection. That part of your body is very sensitive right now and is proned to easily get an infection.

ooh stitches I'd be careful with, hubby n I did it the day after our daughter was born...yes a day no kidding (no tearing). I would have to say wait for the stitches to come out first and when you feel ok down there then go for it, you'll know really quickly if it was a mistake or not. good luck!
p.s. 6 weeks is bullcrap, maybe 4 at the most

Its not right you have to wait for 6weeks.There is a reason you are supposed to wait the six weeks here. One BIG reason is that you could develop an infection! Six weeks allows all the internal organs to move back in place, the uterus to contract, all tiny internal tears to heal. If your bf is so desperate, then let him take care of himself. If that sickens you (it does me, just a personal thing I guess) then help him out. If you are considering it, just remember, your body is going to be healing for months, six weeks is just the begining. Cuddle, spoon in bed, massage each other. You can be close without having sex. "

You have had major changes in your reproductive tract. My suggestions is to wait until your 6 weeks are up.
Two things...
1. You have stiches.... intercourse can cause infections and cause you to rip which will delay sexual activity even further if either happens to you.
2. If your boyfriend is that stupid, and is pressuring you to do this after giving birth four days ago.... Maybe you need to re-evaluate your relationship with him. Geesh how selfish of him suggesting it after 4 freekin days....
Stand up for yourself girl, recoup.....

NO IT IS NOT OKAY. You cannot have sex for another 6 weeks and your insensitive boyfriend needs his butt kicked!! I bet he would not be so willing if he just pushed a child out of his penis!!
Why are men so dang on insenstive and why do women allow them to be? YOU shouldnt even be thinking of sex right now either. You should be focused on your child.

You should wait at least 6 weeks until you have sexual contact or talk to your ob/gyn about when it will be okay to have anal or vaginal sex.
