Its the first dance on a saturday... EVER at my school. i dont know if i should wear a tie. i have determined that i will wear "dress pants" and a nice button up shirt. any ideas please tell me!

what you have described sounds appropriate for the dance. You might want to stick a tie in your pocket so if you get there and the others are really dressed up you can throw it on.

I'm in high school now and my school would say "semi casual" all the time... what it means is like a nice shirt and dress pants.... tie not needed.... its just basically casual but w/o jeans.... hope i helped...

well.. the boys at my school would still wear jeans and a tshirt but thats cuz where I come from (kentucky.. especially the area where I live) we never get dressed up (unless it's for prom) but most school require dress pants and a button up shirt! have fun!

No, you don't have to wear a tie. Semi formal at that age pretty much means no jeans.

placed on the dress. actually placed on pants in the journey that your going to placed on slacks with a gorgeous dressy correct. do exactly some thing gorgeous consisting of your hair. no longer some thing too loopy. keep all that for your first FORMAL dance. reliable success, have relaxing! dont rigidity!

what you described sounds good to me. nix the tie. only other thing i can say is if you slightly dress up for church if u go, wear part of your church clothes. good luck. ~*~Blessed Be~*~
