In the US, maybe not. But on the international level, yes...why? I live overseas, and lots of people overseas are disgusted with the hypocrisy of the US government. For example, Muslims are angry that the US has the right to lambaste them about human rights when the US is detaining a whole bunch of Muslims in Guantanamo Bay and other secret, undisclosed CIA prisons.

China was angry when the US came out with their human rights report on them. China basically told them, why is it that a disproportionate amount of black people are executed by the death penalty, why is there homelessness, US racism, etc.

African nations sick of the how black people are treated in the US and how the US has the right to be preachy to them. Now Africa is setting up deals with Asian nations for raw materials and resources.

So the price may not be paid on the US domestic level, but in the international stage, businesswise, loss of influence, etc.

It depends on each individual situation. Racism is used very loosely and most of the time racism isn't the term that should be used. Prejudice is more like it, and everybody has a little bit of it in them. Racism to what I understand it is hatred toward, or the feeling of superiority over another race. Having nothing to do with an individual person but an entire race. There are people that are black, white, Latino that I just can't tolerate but that doesn't make me a racist. I hate ignorance, and that comes from every race. I just believe that a lot of the racism issues that have come up recently are blown out of proportion. 60 + years ago racism was more of a term that could be used. There were more people then that believed that one race was more superior to another and treated them as such. That is racism. Merry Christmas.

I think there will be a heavier price to pay for the lack of it. I forsee war between the races due to the differences and the lack of common ground or understanding. This is not necessary a colour issue but a cultural and religious issue. However due to terrorism this may now become a muslim against the rest, which I believe is what they have wanted anyway. I am white English, my wife is Sri Lankan, my step father is a muslim, my brother is a racist, I have had an African and Carribean girlfiend, I have friends from everywhere. I have worked in industries that deal with all nations and religions. The main reasons are lack of intergration and respect for the country you live in. This goes for Brits abroad also.

There already has been a heavy price - the warping of minds of the future generations, the body count that rises daily, the class separations, etc. Racism will always be around, it's just a bad fact of life. The best we can do is to ty to fight against it in our little corner of the world.

Sadly I do not think that racism will ever go away. The only thing that people can do is raise their kids with the understanding that just because people are a different color, different religion, or different sexual orientation, that does not make them bad

The way this country's run has made the general person racist.

This is down to the P.C's. why do they want to invite more foreigners in when we can fund ourselves and the immigrants we've got?.

We can't afford decent education, decent n.h.s and decent pensions for older people who have paid in all their lives (don't forget they went through a war for this country).

If we have a shortage of a profession then supply it on SHORT term contract with foreigners until we train enough of our own workers.

WHY SHOULD WE ALL PAY TAX SO FOREIGNER CAN TAKE IT, yes they may have problems in their own country but that's their problem not ours.

I'M NOT RACIST, IF A FOREIGNER STAYS IN THEIR COUNTRY I HAVE NO PROBLEM, ITS ONLY WHEN THEY TRY TO TAKE OVER THIS ONE I DO.

There has already been a huge price to pay, as millions of people have already been murdered based on their race.

there is going to be a heavier price to pay for the over pc over compensating culture that has engulfed this country in the last few years. the time will come when even fairly liberal people will say enough is enough and will want to recliam their country and culture.

Well, they will pay the irony price. Their daughter is going to come home with a black guy, their son is going to be gay, and their wife is banging the Mexican gardener.
