I want to know exactly what some of you peoples think about the gothic culture...I am looking for anything from oppinions to definitions. Thanks!

The gothic subculture....It is a sense of fashion, music, interests etc. The scene consists of people that never really fit in anywhere in their way of thinking. Mostly eccentric...They find beauty in which most people do not. Usually very spirtiual in beliefs. They find beauty in the darkness and choose to live there. No fluffy bunnies and rainbows! Instead bats and rain please!!

well i think its weird.
now how do I defy gothic culture...? hmmm their obsessed with black, they like stripes, they wear socks up to their knees, and they usually listen to bands like my chemical romance & also evanescence. well thats about it.
but if ur asking bout the history of gothic, it dates back in medival times. u know, gothic churches, gothic architechture.
