I have a 3 mo. old daughter. I wasn't going to get her picture w/ santa this year because she isn't the best at holding her body up yet and I though it might be a struggle to get a good pic w/ santa. Should I just wait and get one next year, or should I go ahead and get one now?

This is not too early. When you give your daughter to Santa to hold make sure Santa is holding her in such a way that she is supported safely (though most Santa's are taught this, always play it safe).

This is your daughter's first Christmas! Get all the memories you can! They grow up so very fast! Besides by next Christmas she may going through the stage where she is afraid of Santa and will be getting her "crying while held by Santa" pic. That is ok, those are things to remember, too.

Congrats on your daughter! I wish you all a joyous Holiday!

LOL people don't get it.... I don't think she's too young- I think it's neat. My son was 2 months last year, and we actually just forgot-that and half the time I was in way too much pain from my c-section to even stand up let alone go anywhere. Anyways, what you can do- if you don't want Santa to hold her, is hold her yourself and sit by Santa- something like that. This year- my son is 14 months old- had no clue what Santa was yet either... so I didn't want to scare him, I held him and sat by Santa, and we got a couple of great pictures... one he gave a squinty eye really big smile to Santa when Santa was talking to him. Anyways, I think it's neat to have pictures with Santa-even when they are that young. My mom did it with me- and it was neat seeing how much I grew throughout the year... and some in the beginning years, I did cry, and they took the picture anyways- so it made me laugh. Good picture or not, it will always be remembered :) Also- what we did this year - Santa went to the grocery store we go to, and we took him there- they had a nice set-up, and we actually brought our digital camera and got a few pics with that. It was much cheaper, and yes, it is hard to get good pics sometimes, so that really helped- we went twice up there, once with my husband and our son, the next with me and our son. So do what you feel in your heart you really want to do :)

Many mothers do take they're young children to see Santa. Santa will just hold his arm at a slight arc, yet still supporting her, and they'll take the picture. It's about your preference . . .How bad do you want the picture and how bad do you want her grandparents to have the picture. Besides it will be one of those neat things you can put in an album and embarrass her by dragging it out for every boyfriend to see. LOL. No seriously it'll be something sweet that when she's about 18 she'll be like that's my first Christmas.

This is her first Christmas, not next year. Get it. You can always just hold her standing next to Santa or you can take pictures at home next to the tree and her sitting up against the presents or something. Be creative. You'll look back and be glad you got them or created you own pictures. She'll only be 3 months old once!

definitely go for it ! i have a 3 month old son and i know what your talking about with the non stable sitting up yet, but "Santa" sees all types of kids and i think he will know to hold her up! Its her first Christmas and im sure she would look so cute in a little Christmas outfit from the looks of her in your profile picture! Shes adorable. I would say get the picture done, your family will love it

I say that if Grannie wants the pictures you should do it. These types of things are so fleeting. Before you know it you will be taking College grad pics.

Most Santa's are used to holding every age child so Santa should be able to hold the baby in such a way that she will show to advantage in the pictures.

Go ahead and do it this year! You will happy you did! I have a 7 month old and he had the biggest smile and I was afraid he would cry when he saw Santa. The picture turned out great! It's now one of my favorite pictures of him! I made copies of it and sent it to my family and friends in their Christmas cards and they loved it! :-)

I say never to early, just make sure the poor thing doesn't get a Santa Phobia. I hate when you see crying kids that want nothing to do with the man in the suit, and the parent are forcing them to get the picture. Keep x-mas fun for the little ones :)

They have newborns with santa having their pictures taken all the time.

He's used to holding kids of all ages to best get a picture, and you can stand there and make sure she's as upright and photogenic as possible.

I dont think its too early at all. You could get a picture of her sitting with her grandma and she'd look fine in it, theres no difference. Its just how the baby is held.

I got a picture of my daughter with the easter bunny when she was 6 wks old but that same year she was 9mo and wanted nothing to do with santa. You can try but if you see her getting upset dont push it... just walk away and try next year. Good Luck!
