I'm pregnant and my baby is sitting on my groin and sometimes it makes it impossible to move cause of the tremendous amount of pain. It stops me dead in my tracks with tears in my eyes and I double over in pain. Now I have spoke to the doctor about this and they say its ok and not to worry but thats not what I'm worried about. What is the pain in the groin like compared to a contraction. I do have a baby and I remember contractions being painful. But it was awhile ago I was just wondering if anyone has experienced both of these pains recently and which one is more painful. On a scale of 1-10 the groin pain and on a scale of 1-10 contractions. I'm going to be induced tomorrow

I'm pregnant with my third and I can relate. Both of my babies turned head down at around 6 months of pregnancy, so for the last three months of pregnancy I had a baby head in my pelvis. As you probably already know when you are pregnant the cartilage between the pelvic bones dissolves in front so that the baby can get out when it's time, so the simple fact that your pelvic bone is just moving around freely is painful enough, but when you have a babie's head in there it makes it even worse. I couldn't walk most of the time, I couldn't get out of bed by myself, I couldn't even change positions in bed without my husband moving my legs and bottom for me. I would say that both things are equally painful, but in different ways. My pelvic bones hurt pretty badly on a daily basis, but the contractions were for 12 hours and non-stop in my back. Groin = 10 Contractions = 9

The pain in your groin is pressure. It is the pressure of the baby on your bladder and pelvis. It almost feels like the baby is going to "fall out" I remember the feeling very well. and sometimes it can be painful! But like your doctor said it isn't anything "wrong" it just feels bad. The contractions are a little different than the groin feeling of pressure from the baby. They are a little sharper and also a little higher in your tummy. Have your support system with you tommorow to help you cope with the strain of labor and also remember you always have the option of pain medications to help. Good Luck tommorow and congratulations on you baby!!

Well, the groin pain is every day, almost constant... does it hurt you when you try to stand from sitting down, or roll over at night because it feels like the baby is going to rip out your pubic bone??? MINE DID! Just remember that the pain you are feeling now, you have been feeling for a while.. contractions only last for a short time, and then it's over with... and you have a beautiful baby in your arms.. Good luck.. and umm... The contractions do hurt more.. but like I said.. only for a short time.
