why do so many cry babies in this country b*tch and complain about the death penalty being inhumane? if someone has been sentenced to death, then they most likely deserve it. and why do these @ssholes b*tch so much about the process of putting people to death? it doesnt matter if the condemned feels any pain or not, he/she deserves to feel pain in their final minutes for the sh*t they did to get put their in the first place.

it is true that some innocent people get put to death because of the faulty legal system this country has. that is why i said that MOST people on death row deserve to be there. however, if an innocent person gets put on death row then its not the death penalty people should be pissed at, its the courts and the lawyers they should be mad at.

Solution for so called 'cruel and unusual'...
Televise the executions, and have more of them. More would mean they aren't too unusual. And since the public gets desensitized very quickly, they wouldn't seem very cruel.
And while the guy is dying, have a split screen with the pictures of the crime scene, so every person gets to see what they left behind, and the lives they destroyed.
We need more executions, preferably the electric chair. Lethal injections are a joke.
We should be executing rapists and child molesters, and drug dealers to. YES, I said Drug Dealers! Execute them too.
And to those people who say that it's too expensive, here's your soultion. Streamline the system. You get one appeal, and a 2 year wait. Enough with all these delays because some guy is too fat to be hung, or he's too sick to be executed. It's death! The result is the goal. Did these people worry about the pain they were causing their victims?
And to all of those bleeding hearts who say that it's used more on minorities, I say this....make it MANDATORY! Every murderer, rapist, child molester, terrorist, no matter their income, color or religion. Execute every last one of them.
"I was arrested 3 times, for crimes I didn't do".......Knock it off!
Oh, and don't blame 'mistakes' on the government....blame the 12 jurors who give the verdict. Now, in this day and age, with the advent of all the technology we have, 'mistakes' will happen a lot less.
And for every 'innocent' person in proson, there are dozens of guilty ones on the street.
And for those who talk about 'basic human rights'...once you have been convicted of murder, you no linger have them. How can you take an INNOCENT life and think you are entitled to a life of your own.

I am not against the death penalty. I do not think hanging, shooting, or lethal injections are inhumane. I think for the most part twelve people in a jury get it right most of the time. Now here is where I have doubts a few people are found to be Innocent. We can not bring them back or give the family some chocolates and say we are sorry. The concept of incarceration is costing us to much money but I wonder. I think you should be the one who has the job to kill them cause I want the guilty to die but I do not want to kill an Innocent ac used killer.

I used to be ambivalent about the death penalty feeling sort of like you that people sentenced to death probably deserved it. Working for 5 years for a PI who worked on death penalty cases made me realize that there are some very deep flaws in the way that the death penalty is used. Disproportionate numbers of poor and minority people are sentenced to death, it has become a sort of state sanctioned genocide.
The death penalty is inhumane. If a mistake is made it isn't like the state can say oops, we can take it back. The wrong person is dead.
If murder is wrong then murder by the state is also wrong.

As a former gang member of The Latin Kings, no disrespect to any other gang members or ex- members online. It depends on the situation, if you murder a innocent person just for the thrill of the kill, than by all means electricute away. But if you are trying to survive on the streets in lower East L.A. and its between you and the other guy what alternative do you have.If he is gunnen for you don't i have the right to drop him where he stands , I don't know. Society says maybe not. I don't know the answer to it, But it isn't the poor people of America that writes the laws, They are usually some Rich White guy that wouldn't even get out of his car let alone drive down my street in my old neighbourhood!! But if you think I should die for shooting back when All Iam trying to do is buy some milk at the store,Thats your Opinion. thats what so great about America we have a chance to express our feelings. Iam not saying shooting someone is the answe but I don't want to be the one laying 6ft under, thinking about , Maybe I should of pulled the trigger. But whats the difference I could be sentenced to death anyway. If you are 100% sure they are guilty, with overwelming proof and they did it just for the thril,Than kill him. But if you are only 99.9% sure than no way. And it all depends the circumstances involved. I just read your up date, try telling the courts that it was in self defence when your a gangbanger,They think we do this for fun,Some do but alot don't. They think we shoot it up just for the hell of it. I don't want to kill any one but when its him or me , Its going to be them. And I will let GOD decide my fate....

I spent two thirty day sentences and a five day sentence for some things I didn't do at all .not even close to being guilty. 100% Innocent. so there must be people in jail for murder who didn't do it. I think the death penalty is OK though.I am sure 99% of them or guilty.but wouldn't it feel weird to be sitting in jail for years waiting for death when you didn't do it.But I believe if you kill someone you should be killed. more people should be put to death in this country. and death to child molesters also.a jury should decide a persons death sentence or just a jail time.

If someone murders my sister or mother, they don't deserve death by injection. This is what they deserve:
A slow painful death that takes a total of 90 days for them to die. Have rats slow nipple on their flesh every day, needles poked under their finger nails, their hairs pulled out one by one, then each finger slowly getting cut off, their eyeballs being ripped out, then their ears getting cut off... Then finally being starved to near death... and then getting their head chopped -- not all the way -- but enough for them to stay alive for the next 24 hours.

Every case is different. If haneous crimes, I agree, don't give them a chance to do it again. But if there is a chance to rehabilitate, and depending on the person and case, shouldn't we at least listen before they are put to death? Look at the entire person - youth, adult, mid-age, old age?

its wrong because its Wrong to kill a human being and killing someone who killed someone is still killing and no one has the right to take anyone basic human rights away! if you want someone to suffer...let him/her rot in jail. and some people that actually murdered someone could actually get away innocent because they have the money to have a great lawyer, and the innocent that do die didn't have a fair trial because of their financial status. look at OJ did he do it?! if not then good for him if so then wow we have a murderer walking in today's society.

The government makes too many mistakes to trust them with this much power. Why do you want the government to have so much power over it's citizens to be able to kill them? Do you hate freedom or just find it inconvenient?
PS: We only complain about the "pain and sufferinig" because it helps us sue to stop this stupid, barbaric practice that threatens our freedom and diminishes the greatness of America.

Two reasons:
1. Death penalty is really expensive. It costs more to kill someone, what with the legal costs of appeals, than to imprison them for life.
2. A small percentage of the defendants are innocent. Imagine how it would feel to be that one innocent person.
