replace the cartridge, if it is no longer recognizing the cartridge the electronics have been compromised and the cartridge will not work.

Run the maintenance program on your printer to clean the ink nozzles a few times and you may want to run the alignment again. It also could be because the ink is low. If all that does not work, tuen off your printer, remove the ink and re-install it back. Turn on your printer. Worst case you need to replace the black ink cartridge.

Hi. Use the "change cartridge" utility and tell the printer it is new. Could be one that measures use and stores the data in the cartridge. Some Epsom and HP printers do that. They have to be reset. Do a search on the printer.

Might not work but worth a try.

Turn off the PC

Unplug the printers power adapter/cable from the source (the wall or surge protector)

Plug the printer back in

Open the ink door and remove and replace the ink then close it

Turn your computer back on and see what happens.

Good Luck!

Turn the printer on, remove the cartridge, then put it right back in.
Go to your printer utilities and align the print cartridge.

Try taking it out and putting it back in, or un-installing your printer and re-installing it.

Or try and print a "test page".
