Technically speaking you should wait until your missed period, however it is difficult to wait. First Response pregnancy test says you can take the test 5 days before a missed period. Also some places say you can take a pregnancy 8 days after ovulation. However, your strongest results supposedly are the day after you miss your period.

Its different for every woman and every pregnancy. I was able to get a positive home test 5 days before my period was due with my daughter, but with my prior pregnancies I was very late before I could. It just depends on when you implant and how much HCG is in your system and the sensativity of the test your using. Its best to wait at least until the day your period is due if you can't wait till your late.

It depends on which test you choose and probably on the person taking the test, because i took a test when i was 3 days late and it was an EPT test and it said negative and i am pregnant... Best thing just read the instructions and ask for help... And test after 3 days again...

You take it when youre late for your period, or else you can get blood work done a week in advance.

The early home urine tests are only work for 60% of women who arent yet late. Thats not a very high number, and means that most of the time, until you're late, youd get a false negative if you were pregnant.

I took 2 pregnancy tests a full 7 days before my period was due and got accurate results. Positive!

You can test 19 days after the day you think you became pregnant.

i would assume that if the next cycle begins, there is no need for the test.

you can take it up to two or five days before your period. with the E.P.T, it also depends on the test too.
