Personally I'd like to see it, or something close to it brought back, then we'll see teams developing their own players more and hopefully a raise in standards of some of the international teams. Especially Scotland, half the team seems to be made up of reserve team players in England (well all right not half) or players who warm the bench.

Its a controversial issue.

But I think some sort of limit ought to be created. In countries like Germany, Scotland, and Belgium to name a few the foreigners now outnumber the domestic players. That hurts chances for development and has a number of implications.

Theres room for foreign players but needs to be some control i think.

No. A club can develop their own players, but they don't neccessarily have to be from the country that the club is from. For example, Arsenal. They have many youth players coming up, but they are of all kinds of nationalities. For example, Fabregas is Spanish, and Djorou is Swiss. They came up the youth team as well.

It's not gonna work. The world is a very cosmopolitan place, with people moving around different countries and settling down now. It's not like the past where people stick to their own countries. People emigrate more now.
