If you are looking at buffet, most of the hotels in Singapore serve International Breakfast Buffets, which includes American Breakfast. One of the nice hotel with such breakfast buffet is Conrad Hotel at Temasek Boulevard.
If you just want a cheap and not so authentic American breakfast, try Outsider Cafe at Tanglin Mall. They serve all-day breakfast. Another one will be Swensen's.
You may also want to try American Club off Orchard Road.

Most Hotels in Singapore offer American Breakfast. But mostly, they are cereals. Sometimes they offer a full meal. Try Denny's if there's any!

Most of the 4 or 5 star hotels provide American breakfast. Also at most restuarant in the city areas.
There's one restuarant known as 'Dukes' along Bukit Timah Road after Farrer Road serves all American meals.

It is just a convenient term used by hotels especially in Bangkok.
Continental breakfast - Juice, coffee, rolls
American Breakfast - Add ham, eggs
English Breakfast - Add Bacon, bake beans
Most hotels cater for buffet breakfast which is cheaper. Best is to go to Macdonalds.

You can try Han's. The bacon is a little different than what you would find the in US and the sausages are more like hot dogs, but it's pretty decent and not terribly expensive like at a hotel.

McDonalds.
I stayed at a hotel and they had a buffet style breakfast. I am sure if you stay at a hotel, they'll have American options for breakfast.
