I'm no con, but if this happens, there might not be cons OR libs any longer. Fear tactic it might be but I'd trust a scientist above a politician any day of the week.

For the global warming skeptics I'd like to point out something that's happening now. This isn't a guess or projection.
Up in Alaska and other northern parts of the world they have this thing called "permafrost". It's basically ground that stays frozen all year round.
Well, there's a bunch of it that lately isn't staying frozen all year round. There are even lakes that are draining because the lakebeds are no longer watertight due to the melting. Chew on that for a while.

Since the skeptics aren't innovative enough to see the opportunities in doing something about global warming, I suggest they buy oceanfront property. Especially the ones that are too dumb to realize that a rise of eight feet will take out all the land below eight feet above sea level, which would include about half the state of Florida.

Questions you should ask when discussing climate change.
1. Is the world really warming?
2. Is this warming caused by man?
3. Why are we only hearing the negative alarmist consequences? Won't there be positive consequences too?
4. Even if man is warming the world, and it's going to be disastrous, can we really effect enough change to prevent it?
Quite frankly, I'm not even sure of #1, let alone 2, 3, or 4. The world has been cooling since 1998.
We've been told at least 4 times in the last century that the climate was going to cool, then warm, then cool again, then warm again. Do you sense a pattern here?
It has been warmer on the past than it is now. Somehow humanity and life on earth has survived OK.

The oceans have risen over 300 feet since the last 50,000 years. The land bridge between Asia and Alaska, was 600 miles wide, there was over a mile of ice covering much of the USA. We are on the tail end of an ice age.
I am not worried about 4 feet, but another 300 feet worries me...

Does it ever freak anybody out how much of an impact Bush, Limbaugh, and Hannity have over these people. Three hundred renowned scientists could tell them that global warming was in fact a real problem and if only one of the above said it wasn't , they would believe that one moron. It is totally amazing. They are truly like lemmings.
