I'm 14 weeks and at 6 weeks i too had abdominal cramps, at times pretty painful, like a heavy period was on it's way. I did get worried and called my doctor who told me to rest alot and take it easy (kinda hard to do with a 2y/o and 9m/o) but he also said a heating pad on low heat would help and warm baths too - they really helped me out. I did start spotting and more so after the pap smears and just last week i began to leak fluid but that was from an infection, with all this i still have cramps, but it's normal...when you go see your doctor he will check you, express your concerns and what's going on and he will make sure that everything is fine.
Good luck and congratulations and rest!

It is normal during pregnancy. If it becomes only on one side or you start bleeding go to the ER or call your doctor. My doctor told me, that more than likely it is your bowels that are causing you to cramp. I didn't even think about that being the case.

I got the same sort of cramps when I was about 4-7 weeks pregnant. They felt like mild menstral cramps. It really is nothing to worry about...your body is stretching and moving to accomodate you new little bundle. No worries.

Its normal. You'll have cramps, pulling, searing hot pains, charlie horses, sharp pains, pains that take your breath away, pains that make it hard to stand.. Your uterus is one big muscle, and its supported by tendons, muscle groups and ligaments.
These all stretch and grow, and its really quite painful at times.
The cramping is perfectly normal at this stage. just wait until the ligaments kick in. And then then round tendons start to stretch, and you will think you AND the baby are dying.
Pregnancy is a blast.

Cramping is normal, like period cramps but not as strong. You shouldn't have sharp pains or pains that hurt bad though.

I would say go see a doctor immediately, because there could be some complication with your pregnancy.
