what is the EQUATION! of the line that contains the points (3,5) and (7,9)?
(notice i need the equation not the answer!!!)

THE EQUATION!!!! NOT THE ANSWER PLEAZ!! I KNOW THE ANSWER IS 1 OKAY I JUST NEED TO SEE THE EQUATION!!!!

The equation is the answer. First, you need to find the slope of the line by finding the difference of the Y's (9-5=4) over the difference of the X's (7-3=4). So the slope is 4/4 which = 1. Now find the y-intercept. The equation of a line can be written as y=mx+b. b is the y-int and m is the slope.

Use the point (3,5) and the slope 1 and plug in.

5=1(3)+b so
5=3+b
b=2 so the equation is...

y = 1x + 2
