my bub got teeth 3 months ago and i am still breastfeeding. she has bitten me a few times and it does hurt!!! but i soon realised that she was only doing it when she had finished feeding and being a bit playful so i had to just take her off as soon as she finished. if the baby is in the correct feeding position, they can't really bite you. while feeding you don't feel the teeth.

I breastfed my son until he was 2. He obviously had teeth by then and it did not hurt. The only time he ever hurt me was when he bit. He only did that a couple of times, though. I stopped it by taking him off the breast and saying, no! Keep breastfeeding, it is so worth it!

I breastfed my son until i got pregnant the second time. He was about 14 months, and yes, he definitely had teeth. He bit me a few times, but he didn't continue to do it when he realized that if he bit me i would take him off. It all depends on how you handle it, and try to teach the baby not to bite. If they respond to it, you don't have to worry about it (unless it's an accident, like while he/she is sleeping, or teething and can't help it) You have to decide if it's worth the pain, but if they keep biting on purpose, or you can't continue, then don't because it shouldn't be traumatic for you.

I breastfed my son until he was about 18 months old when I finally kicked him off the boob. He had teeth for months and I still breastfed him. He only bit me maybe twice? But to answer your question, no, it doesn't hurt to breastfeed when a baby gets teeth.

It can hurt a little at times and it might be a slightly different feeling. However, babies will not bite regularly. If your baby bites, you have a few options. You can take him/her off the breast, tell him "no biting" and either end the session or then let the baby re-latch.
When you feel biting you can push (gently) the baby's face into your breast -- it makes it hard for them to breathe and they will un-latch. I'd again say "No biting" and continue with the session or end.

I'm currently breastfeeding my 7 month old and yes, she's teething. Occasionally she bites, especially if her teeth are bugging her. She only takes one nip and I take her off and say, no biting! It hurts like a son of a gun when she bites, those teeth are like razors. You can't give up though because breast is best.

I felt like when my son got teeth I had to get used to that area were his tooth was rubbing. It only took a couple days and it wasn't that bad. But of course it would hurt if they start biting, fortunately that never happened with me.

My 8 month previous is doing a similar.... actually she now has a teeth (Yowch!) at the same time as she does this, I take her off the breast and tell her No in an organization low voice. commonly at the same time as she does this to me she's no longer actively nursing anymore so she's only taking section in round. at the same time as a touch one is actively nursing they couldn't chew you or chew on you want that. next time he does this, only get rid of him from the breast and tell him an organization No. he will seize on before too lengthy. To the fellow who stated a breast pump: no longer all babies will take a bottle and under no circumstances all women opt to sense like a cow with their utters hooked as a lot as a pump :) i understand anytime i exploit my pump i have self belief like mooing because i imagine of a cow being hooked as a lot as those ordinary pumps!

both of my kids breast fed for 2 years each. They both had molars before weaning! Yes, I got bit, but they can not bite and suck at the same time. When given the choice between biting and eating, most of the time they will choose to eat. My kids would bite, I would put them on the floor for about 30 seconds. Neither of my kids bit me more than 3 times before they got it :)

I wont lie it can hurt. My daughters 2 though and i'm still bfing at night so its not that bad. I have been bit twice to where it bled but there were consequences like no bfing for a day and that really got my daughters attention and she doesn't bite me.
