I would strongly recommend against ANY sort of sexual activity that might bring on an orgasm. The procedure you had was designed to keep the cervix from dilating - thus bringing on pre-term labor. An orgasm makes the uterus cramp... just like labor!!!

My best advice is DON'T DO IT!

A cervical cerclage is a precedure to help close the cervix when your pregnant so as not to lose your baby. Better call your OB and ask. I would say to be on the safe side you better not because it might put pressure against the wall inside and still cause problems. Best to call the OB. Good Luck.

I don't know what the heck a "cerclage" is but I would listen to your doctor. NO sex means NO sex. I'm sure he gave you a time limit on this. Wait until this is up and then you can have sex again. You don't want to make your condition (or whatever it is) worse now do you?

You should not have any sex when you have had a cerlage. If this procedure was done on you, it is because your cervix was dilating and putting you into labor. Sexual stimulation, stimulation of the breast can also do the same thing.

Please hold off on the sex and do what is best for you and your unborn baby.

No sex means just that. No sex. At all. Of any kind.
