Its always best to soak them in cold water asap. Then go to the store and get some BIZ or similar enzyme laundry cleaner. Spin the cold water out and run fresh cold water in with about three times the amount of BIZ recommended. Let the jeans agitate in the washing machine for about ten minutes. Then let soak overnight. Rinse and wash with heavy duty laundry detergent and more BIZ. Rinse again and check them to see if any stain remains. If so, you can make a paste of BIZ and a liitle water and apply it directly to the stain spots. You can scrub it in the fabric with a toothbush. Let this sit on the stain for at least an hour. Then wash again with detergent and more BIZ. The enzymatic cleaners are superior for organic stains. Bleach will bleach out the jeans and leave white spots. So don't use chlorine bleach.

Wet them and sprinkle them with meat tenderizer. When the blood rises to the top and discolors the granules, wipe it away and wet and sprinkle again. Then wash using Kirkland liquid laundry detergent from Costco... and put two uses of OxyClean in the wash cycle as well. Run them through an extra rinse cycle and use all warm water for everything because cold water will *set* a blood stain.

Or you could run them over to the forensics lab at your local police department. They have great stuff there that will take care of those stains.... promise....

Fresh Blood stain. Put article of clothing into bathroom sink and pour some peroxide on it and let it set a couple minutes. work it in a little, rinse and repeat.

For blood stains-fresh ones or already set in stains-I swear by a product called "Clear Choice". It is truly amazing and works on almost any spot or stain in fabrics and also carpets(you can even mix with water and run through a carpet machine for awesome results!). This product is non-toxic, non-flammable, non-magnetic, odor free, and biodegradable. The label on the bottle says so! It even has a 100% money-back guarantee! I happened upon it by chance, looking for a spot remover for a pet stain in my carpet, but that would also remove the odor. It did both, and the best part is you don't need to scrub the stain. You just rub your finger over the applied area to activate, blot with an absorbent cloth and Presto! It can even be used as a laundry pre-treat, and it is fantastic. I have come across many stains, old and new, my sons always get in their cloths, and it does the trick every time-even ball point pen, fresh or old! I could go on and on about it, but you need to try for yourself to believe. If it isn't sold in your local supermarket on the cleaning supply aisle, here is the company info.

If the blood is fresh, soak it in cold salty water.

Get a bucket, fill it with cold water, and add some salt.

Don't add hot water because that sets the stain.

You might also want to pour some detergent directly on the stain.

Hydrogen Peroxide ... works like a charm!!

Just pour a little on the spots and dab off.

The chemicals in the peroxide lift the blood right out of the cloth.

Try Oxy-Clean. Make some of it into a paste with a little water and rub it into the stains and let it sit for an hour or so before washing them in the washing machine.

Try dabbing the stain with peroxide and rinsing in warm water right away. It may discolor the denim a little, but who really cares as long as they aren't bloody.
