I'm pregnant and my baby is sitting on my groin and sometimes it makes it impossible to move cause of the tremendous amount of pain. It stops me dead in my tracks with tears in my eyes and I double over in pain. Now I have spoke to the doctor about this and they say its ok and not to worry but thats not what I'm worried about. What is the pain in the groin like compared to a contraction. I do have a baby and I remember contractions being painful. But it was awhile ago I was just wondering if anyone has experienced both of these pains recently and which one is more painful. On a scale of 1-10 the groin pain and on a scale of 1-10 contractions. I'm going to be induced tomorrow.

I had that too. It was the way the baby was positioned. My Doctor told me the baby was causing pain of the pubic symphysis. I couldn't walk at all when the pain got too bad. I would get into different positions, on all 4's and letting my back dip down to try to get her to move out of that position, or lay on my side. But most times when I would walk she would settle back down in that same spot. It was excruciating! Turning over in bed also made it hurt there.

Unfortunately in most cases there is nothing you can do about it, except for give birth. You are lucky tomorrow is your induction day. It will be over soon.

I rate the pelvic pain higher only because it lasted for weeks, rather than my contractions, which I only had for a few hours. I'd say contractions were a 9 and the pubic pain was a 10.

good luck tomorrow.

When I was pregnant, my daughter did the exact same thing. I had shooting pains radiating from where my legs meet my inner thighs down my legs. I would rate them at about an 8. Contractions on the other hand felt like a bad menstrul cramp. My stomach got really hard. For me they didn't hurt that much at all. Good luck tommorow.

Geez, you need to relax. You stand to gain nothing from hearing about other people's pain! Enjoy your last few hours as a pregnant woman. Sip some cocoa, rent a movie, ask your hubby for a foot rub.
