Your virginity is just an illusionist word we use to define if someone has had sex or not. Its possible that you can break you hymen. Which is a thin piece of skin in your vagina that breaks when there is force which causes you to bleed. If that happens technically, your still a virgin, just without a hymen.

I used tampons for years when I was a teenager. I suggest you go and buy a starter kit for teenagers. They work great with really simple directions. You mostly likely wont get it right the first time but eventually you will get the hang of it.

Maybe your mother is just scared of the fact that shes fully aware that you think about using tampons, and by using tampons you have put something in your vagina. She maybe just a little torn by the fact you are becoming a woman. Or maybe she feels you will be curious with what else you can stick in your vagina.
Just reassure your mother you are a growing lady and eventually you will start using tampons, and just because you are using tampons doesnt make you any less of her little girl.

You do not loose your virginity over tampons! You loose it over BOYS! (lol) Tampons are great for swimmers. Tampons are actually the only choice for swimmers since the pad would take up all of the water. They work great even if you don't swim so I think they're wonderful! Most girls go through a time when they want to use tampons, and I think they should! Tampons are so much more comfy than pads. They work great! Once you start using tampons, you'll never want to go back! Good luck with your mother!

Your MOTHER is scared you will lose your virginity? Or you?

Losing your virginity means engaging in sexual intercourse. Seeing as wearing a tampon is just a hygeine mechanism and comes nowhere CLOSE to having sex, NO you will not lose your virginity. MILLIONS of girls use tampons every day. The only concern you should have is taking them out on time (no longer than 6 hours).

If you take the tampon out of the cardboard, I'm sure you won't lose your virginity. Tell you mom not to be so paranoid. NO, that's wrong. Just use the tampon, and don't worry about it, just follow the instructions. Good luck ~~~

You may break your hymen by using a tampon (but the odds of that are pretty low).

However, in order to lose your virginity, you need to have sexual intercourse.

For instance, some virgins have had pap smears.... and they are still virgins.

What makes you a non-virgin is a penis inside the vagina.

No using a tampon won't help you lose your 'veginity' I don't think you can screw anything up using them, unless you really shoved it far into you, and then left it there...

A virgin is someone who hasn't had sex, not someone who hasn't put anything in their vagina. A tampon will not take away your virginity.

It could, however, break your hymen. That doesn't particularly matter, though, because you could also break your hymen riding horses or bikes, or doing gymnastics, or sitting in the wrong position, or doing nearly any other thing that involves moving your legs. Your hymen doesn't define your virginity. You're a virgin until you've had sex.

no, wearing a tampon will not make you lose your virginity.... tampons aren't wide enough to break you hymen (vaginal skin)... but be sure to start off with small tampons and slowly make your way up to the larger ones
