Republicans cut taxes and encourage people to work, save, and invest to improve their lives and their family.
Democrats raise taxes to encourage people to stay on welfare and vote Democrat.

Wrong question. Should be "Do political parties promote the public good?" I'm not sure what the answer to that 1 is.

Political parties do encourage voting by running registration drives and by helping people get to the polls on election day. They simplify voting decisions for many people, and they do disseminate information.
