That song that goes "I hope I am at least half the dad, that he didn't have to be"
My Son's father ran out on us when he was just a baby, so I cry every time I hear that, hoping there will be a great man out there to be a father to my wonderful little boy...

"Because of You" By Kelly Clarkson, I have experienced the pain she felt in that song and now when I hear it , I get choked up. Anyone who has had a parent leave knows how it feels to watch the other parent suffer.
The theme music from "Somewhere in Time", "Castaway" and "Out of Africa" is also touching and kinda sad.

"Anytime" by Jane Siberry, mostly because of the scene in the L Word I associate it with.
Shawn Colvin's version of "I Don't want to Live on the Moon".
"True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper.
"Whether you fall" by Tracy Bonham made me cry the first time I heard it, too.
