What if you do not look as nice as u want to be?

I made mine look like me. Even chose the "full figured" version of a woman.

My avatar is somewhat based on what I aspire to. (Read my "About Me.") The picture is of Neo from the Matrix series. I chose him not for the coolness factor--though I love the clothing styles in the movies--but because Neo's story was about not just fighting for freedom, but of transcending personal limits and realizing your full potential to become (much) more than you are now. Neo was an archetypal example of Nietzsche's "ubermensch" or "overman," or in more modern parlance, a transhuman--a person with human roots but who has evolved or built himself up to be so much more. As an aspiring transhuman myself, I thought Neo would make a great avatar.

I tried to make my avatar look as close to me as I could. But my hair is always different. I get it dyed a lot, and some days it streight and the next day it's wavy.
So sometimes I don't have the right color/style hair, but otherwise, it's me.

the former, i look absolutely nothing like my avatar, i just think that the clothes design and hair are so beautiful but for so many ways i can never look like it :( almost sad, my avatar is so glamorous looking.

i just chose chose the styles of my avatar according to my taste and with no intention on looking like me
My friends say we look alike but that is purely an accident : )

My avatar was chosen according to what I really am. The fact that it doesn't match my external apparance is unimportant.

Mine is a combo. The hair is right, but the clothing is wrong. I live in the Florida, and I am hoping that it will snow. Probably not gonna get that wish this year.

I tried to make it look as much like me as possible, otherwise it feels like a stranger. I do have black shoulder length hair with bangs and light brown eyes.

my avatar looks so much like me it's scary. i don't like to design it any other way. it just seems funny to me.

I've wondered the same thing myself.
I try to get it as close as possible without spending too much time on it.
