I usually play as the panthers. Anytime I throw the ball away, I get an intentional grounding penalty which can cost more yards than the sack!

The NFL throw away rule applies when the quarterback is outside the pocket. So you have to either be left of the left tackle or right of the right tackle to throw away the ball in any direction. The quaterback can still technically throw the ball away from inside the pocket if the ball was thrown near a reciever.

thats because u have to move out of the "tackle box". all u have to do is move outside the pocket and throw it away. best bet is to try and find out where ur tight end was and go past to where he was lined up and throw it away. or maybe even go past the hash mark by a few feet and throw it away. but yeah, the reason u get called for inentional grounding is because ur in the "tackle box", which is stupid.

R2 when you are out of the pocket.If you throw it in the pocket you will get called for intentional grounding.
