It seems to have no tail and it also seems to be blind. I have no idea what it is but it also drags the food it find back to wherever it lives. Any one have any ideas?

its like the size of a mouse or a hamster...it doesnt run like a mouse ..like you know how a mouse runs this one runs like a black thing sliding across the floor.

Could it be a hamster?
Moles are black, blind, and have short tails. They eat insects and might eat meat. They're not rodents, but they can give that impression.
Gophers have very short tails and eat a lot of stuff. I haven't seen a black one, but there could be regional variations.
Wild rodents are usually not black but can be dark.
A vole has a short tail and is the size of a mouse or a little larger.
