I don't think it was Armageddon. I definitely remember it being some sort of attack.

Was it Armegeddon? The metorites from the asteroid that is approaching Earth destroy a space shuttle in that movie if I'm not mistaken.

i have never heard of such a movie.
there was a book a few years ago where terrorists take over NASA (or at least the launch pad) and a special forces has to take it back before they blow up all the fuel (that would be really really bad).
