They are probably braxton hicks. These "contractions" however do serve a purpose, they get your body ready for the real thing. When you go into true labor, you will know. The contractions start in your lower back and radiate to the abdomen. They start to become more frequent, and stronger. Hang in there, before you know it you'll be holding your baby. Treasure the alone time for now and rest..... your gonna need it. Good luck.

first, braxton hicks contractions can start somewhere around 20 weeks, so they can last for a long time and second if the pain starts in your lower back and radiates to the front it is likely that you are in early labor.

your dr probably told you this but if you get up and walk around and they get better, they're braxton hicks if they get worse they are real labor. I have 3 kids labors ranging from 40 hours on down to my 3rd which was a 3 hour labor. GOOD LUCK!!!:)

Early hard work is repeatedly no longer that painful, relying at the role of the little one. The most important factor is not the way it feels, it is how customarily the contractions are. If you might have already began dilating, any contractions going down that customarily can intent the little one's head to position adequate stress at the cervix to transport dilation alongside. If you are having greater than four contractions in an hour, you will have to name your medical professionals workplace instantly. If they are not up to 10 mins aside, simply pass to the health center - they are going to ship you dwelling if you are not up to 5cm, however it is bigger to be trustworthy than sorry!

"Real" contractions hurt like HELL. They are unmistakable. There's really no telling when you will go into real labor, you will just have to TRY to be patient (although that sucks, I know). You are sooooo close to holding your little sweetie. Best of luck! Won't be long now.
