I am totally in love with this man. Why? don't ask, because I really don't know. I love him, I love his kids, and we broke up 2 months ago. We tried to just break it off completely, but he decided a week later that I am his best friend and he can't lose me. We are the best of friends, and he still lives with me, but he sleeps on the couch. I hate it. What do I do about this? I mean, it's practically like we're still together, but we don't say it. And we don't have sex as much... let me tell you, that's killing me. (Not like i can bring home anyone else... haha)

this is the hard part. i have been friends with this man for 5 years. we only dated for 6 mos. before he decided that until his divorce is final he can't be in a relationship. he isn't ready, but knows that when he is he wants to be with me.

I STAYED FOR OUR SON AND MAYBE FOR MY EX AT SOME POINT. BUT NOW I KNOW IT WAS A MISTAKE. WE HAD GOOD REASONS TO SEPARATE, BUT OUR BRAIN HAS THE ABILITY TO REMEMBER ONLY THE GOOD THINGS AND FORGET ALL THE BAD. EVERYBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO BE HAPPY AND LOOK FOR HAPPINESS. IT'S A MISTAKE. IT WILL ONLY GET HARDER TO GO ON WITH YOUR OWN LIFE. I AM NOT SAYING STOP BEING FRIENDS, BUT YOU SHOULD REALLY THINK OF MOVING ON. STOP TORTURING YOURSELF. THAT IS A TORTURE AND YOU KNOW IT!!!

I know it is hard...when you love someone...you don't want to lose him...and you accept any kind of contact....I can tell you that this way of living will kill you...you will get more hurt than you are... so instead...you can talk to him...is there any chance to get back together as a real couple...if not...it is up to you to decide...I assume you would want an end of hurting yourself...then beginning of hurting every time you see him around , and know that he is not your bff...you are not a real couple. You decide!

It sounds like your holding on to someone that's trying to let you go. The question is, are you paying his way? If he doesn't have anywhere to go he will say or do anything to stay where hes at until something else comes along. Don't be a sucker. move on with your life and find someone that loves you like you love them. Good luck.

since you're so much in love, i'm guessing he's not.
why allow this man to engulf your feelings without a return.

this happened with an ex of mine, finally i left him altogether. and we're still friends. it's better that way, i still love him, but i can't be with him. finally i realized that, and really it is better.
