Would you ask them to replace or repair it? Would you take them to court if they refused?

Okay more of an aquaintance than a friend. Would you say something imediately after it happened or bring it up later? How would you say it exactly to his face?

Sorry, same thing happened to me, but my car, two heavy guys I work with got in the back of my car(needed a ride) went over a down slope and the brakes bled out, and my exhaust pipe fell!
I asked them to pay for it, they refused, and I cant really do anything about it.
Did you get in writing if they sat or lived in your home and destroyed and property they would pay for it?
The thing is, he/she didnt mean too, but he/she was a real friend he/she would give you some money for feeling bad.

I'd bring it to their attention and ask if they would help you get it repaired. Then get a sturdy piece of furniture for when the friend comes to visit again.

I would make them replace it. If they refused I would seriously have to think about taking them to court....I mean, new furniture can be pricey. ya know?

i would say u better fix my ******* and if they refused yea id take em to court and id call them a fat *** if they dont :) (my coutch is expensive)

Wow, they'd have to be pretty heavy to break my couch....
Anyways, I would just tell them not to worry about it. I hate that ugly couch anyway! They'd be doing me a favor by breaking it.

I would tell his fatass to pay for a replacement and then kindly put a pillow on the floor for him next time he comes over.

I would laugh... but try not to hurt their feelings...If it was really expensive maybe i would make them pay but probably not unless i didnt like them.
