Hi there,

Bleach can do the job. But you must be careful of what type of fabric you bleach, it can break down the fibers in the fabric.

The better option is to soak the clothes in peroxide and bicarb soda with some water in a bucket.

Then get some blue tissues paper wrap it around the clothes and store in a box. Its an old trick but it works.

What about trying the old fashioned bluing? Comes in a small bottle and follow the directions. Your whites will be slightly blue while they are wet but they will turn white when they dry.

My grandmother used to mix it and rinse her white poodles with it after their baths. Imagine light blue poodle dogs running around! But they whitened up as they dried.

The country school my son went to used bluing on the white chickens they were showing at the fair...they used too much and got a prize for their most unusual blue chickens!

ok be carefull when using bleach because it is tough on ur clothes. Do this. Set the settings on the washer and than the button that starts to fill up the washer with watter. Mix the bleach first while the water is filling up than mix the detergent. After it fills up about half way. Put your clothes in the washer. Never pour bleach or detergen on your clothes because it can ruin the fabric. If you have one of those new washers than opens at the side than i can't help you because i dont have that one.

Mix bleach and washing powder in warm water . soak for a while then hang the washing direct to the sun(not in the shade).
I've been using the method for long time.

Note: never use hot or cold water you will not get the same result.

Bluing will make your whites whiter, but make sure not to add right on clothes it will turn them blue. Mix with water first then add. Should still be able to find it in most stores.

Try a detergent that has whitening booster in it. I use Sunlight powder with whitening and it really does make whites whiter. They don't get dingy like they normally do with regular detergent.
