I was doing some kitchen cleaning today with a bleach product and apparently got my argyle sweater in a few small spots. Can I do anything to restore the color to this sweater? Some information:

-It is a 50/50 rayon cotton blend
-There are about 6 little bleached dots ranging in size from a pea to a dime, all within the same "diamond."
-The old color was light mocha, the new color is that familiar bleach orange.

I really love this sweater and I hope I can salvage it. Thanks everyone!

go to some place like walmart and take your sweater with you. go where the cleaning/laundry products are and there is this stuff called rid. its in a small white box and you can match your sweater to it to make sure you got the right color. put the rid and your sweater in the washer by itself obviously and it will fix your sweater. make sure you run your washer at least twice without any clothes in it afterwards so you don't ruin anything else.

sure u can redye but the home process is not like manufactor process. the home dye job will start to fade after washes and cleaning. u must make sure u use a dye fast product or it will ruin other clothes it is near especially when washed or gets wet.

best bet is to keep it for a around the house sweater, bleaching is permanent, unless you can find sharpie markers of the same color

i would check with your local dry cleaners... my sister used to get her (black) jeans dyed when they faded. you may have to find a different color though...
