I have a 128mb usb flash drive and I have a lot of information saved onto it and now I am having problems. Whenever I try to open it, it says: "The disk in drive E is not formatted do you want to format it now?" and I click on yes then it says I will lose all data and I do not want this to happen so I click cancel. Is there anyway that I can fix this problem without losing any of my info on the flash drive? Thank you.

The filesystem on the drive has likely become corrupt. Try it in other computers and see if any of them can read it. If so, copy all the files off of it, and then format it.

If not, there are programs out there that can recover data off a broken disk.

http://www.ptdd.com/download.htm#drw Is the first thing I found with google that looks like it should do the job. I'm not sure if it's any good, but it's worth a try.

No, it particularly is a ordinary Serial Bus circuit which has a USB port linked so which you will plug your flash force, cam, printer or different USB pushed device in and use them. A flash force is nearly like a HDD in that it may shop records, %., or what ever into memory and be plugged into the USB port to be study or used.

Two possibilities,

Either
1) your drive is bad

or
2) the USB port in computer is bad

Try to use it with another computer. If you format it, you will loose everything you store there. If I were you I would immidiately buy a new usb drive.

send the flash drive to a data recovery service...if the information is worth it.
