Uphold the U.S. Constitution, to make sure the government is not depriving the people of their constitutional rights - right to free speech, against self-incrimination, unlawfull search & seizure, and to determine which laws - state and federal - if challenged are unconstitutional. The U.S. Supreme Court has the final say on what is and what is not constitutional. Check out findlaw.com U.S. Supreme Court for more info.
