These beautiful little creatures are also unique in that after the eggs are fertilized, the mother puts them in a the father's pouch, and the father seahorse undergoes a pregnancy and gives birth!

this is a guess. Let me know if I am right OK? But I would guess at an eel. I have seen those suckers grab on to things with their tail and body by curling around them. You didn't say that it had to MOVE the object, so simply holding it should qualify the eel.
