Ok. Originally it was Cindy Lauper, a band called split endz did a remake of it, the r'n'b guy Nas had a song by the same name, and an Australian singer Casey Chambers did a version of the Cindy Lauper version a few years back.
Originally - Cindy Lauper, if that's the song I'm thinking about.

Cyndi Lauper did the original version. I can hear it in my head right now. She was so cute in the 80s. Probably still is. People are so fickle about singers. They get popular and someone else comes along and gets popular, and the good ones are forgotten. Of course, I am also a big Phil Collins fan but don't remember hearing him sing that particular song.
