No, not the best, but certainly it's right up there. I'd still have to put CASABLANCA ahead of LAWRENCE as to being a great film. What made LAWRENCE so great, though, was it's photographic scope, and epic production values. My God, those shots of the horse and camel trains crossing the desert from a mile away were stunning.

Nope. Really an incredible movie, but not the best ever.
Although I don't think that Citizen Kane is the best either and that usually tops most of those charts.
I think it is really subjective.

I might have been 8 yrs old when they showed it on TV, but I'll never forget it because I fell in LOVE with Peter O'Toole best movie ever, maybe no, but certainly unforgettable.
