What would you think if you saw a guy with long nails(about a cm from the fingertips)painted black? I've been wearing my nails like this recently(just went out this morning), sometimes with gloves on but I take them off when I'm comfortable with people seeing my nails. I'm not a gothic or emo guy I dress pretty normally and have shortish black hair. No one's actually come up and asked me about my nails though and I'm wondering what you think? I want to know particularly what girls think, I'm 19 and was wondering if I should share this with a girl I like.

i dont like guys who dress the same,have the same hair cuts and stuff. i like guys who have there own style and there own look so id say the nail varnish is cool :)

Well, as a 17 year old girl, I personally prefer guys with short nails. Hmmm... And if I saw a guy with long black nails, I wouldn't consider it as a turn on/off, just something mundane maybe? :-P

It looks hot if the nails are nicely manicured and they are somewhat short. Long black nails look gothic and/or halloweenish. It was very popular on runways last fall and it seems there are still people who are wearing the color with the fall season now here. Dark purple looks great too. I'm wearing matte gray on my feet right now!

i don't find the part about the long nails attractive but i do with the black fingernail polish

I have always though long nails look gross on a guy. And on a girl if she doesn't keep them. One of my best guy friends in high school always had long nails and I always tried to get him to cut them off! He hardly ever had a girlfriend.

At your age you can probably get away with it as long as you are not dressed in a "preppy" style. Jeans and flip-flops and t-shirts would probably be ok with the nail varnish.

i say that u should take off the polish cause no grls like boys with black nails & besides im a tomboy but today all my guy friends think its weird that i wore a miny skirt so change can be difficult
& besides black is a horrible color 2 put on nails but its ok 2 wear black so just be you & take off the nail polish boys shouldnt wear nail polish anyway

Although it's not the "norm" there is nothing wrong with it. Of course you should share this with your GF.
I've been known to paint my toenails, so I kinda know where you're coming from.
