To much caffeine is bad during pregnancy but you can have small amount. My doctor advised me to only have about 1-2 cups of coffee per day. I have about 1/2 a cup in the morning and that is it. I am not sure of the affect on the baby. Best ot ask your doc! Good luck.

probably no more than having a baby who is more irritable for the first few weeks. nobody has done a study about it. Have your coffee, just drink less, or decaf. By the way, the caffeine will help keep your bowels from getting sluggish during the final tremester when the baby is putting pressure on your abdomen.

Nothing. I have drank coffee and coke with all 4 of my pregnancies and my babies have all been healthy. You just dont need to have 3 or 4 cups a day. One or two a day is fine.

In HUGE AMOUNTS (which would be impossible to ingest in a normal day), caffeine has been shown to cause low birth weight, miscarriage, withdrawal symptoms after birth, dehydration of the newborn, etc.

In NORMAL AMOUNTS (which you might actually consume during the course of a normal day), no problems have been linked to caffeine. Drink up to 3 coffees/6 sodas/10 hot chocolates/etc per day. Find a site (there are lots) that lists caffeine content of different drinks/foods and figure how many of each you could drink.

A hyper kid!

No, JK!

It won't hurt as much as these crazy people say!

For It to cause even the smallest problem, you would need to drink about two gallons a day everyday!

It is so cool, If you drink it later, it makes baby kick more!

Good luck!

Causes the slow death of the placenta. You want it to be in good working order, and coffee can cause it to....ahem, expire, before it's job is finished. One cup a day is OK.

caffiene can cause you to miscarry especially in the 1st 3 months. it also can cause your baby to go through withdrawal symptoms whenthey are born, but not as bad as smoking or other drugs. it can cause delayed learning in reading and math as well.
