I doubt it too.
The pressure water creates as you go deeper is one of the many factors that involve living underwater.
Oxygen is another factor. People can't just live on tanks of oxygen. Unless someone finds a way for humans to be able to breathe underwater without the use of other machines and tanks, and also a type of material that can withstand the pressure put on by the depths of the water, then humans will most likely not live underwater.
But, they can dream.

I doubt it. The only reason that humans would stop living the way that they are would be due to the complete destruction of the earth, in which case we would all go down with the destruction of the planet and the human race would be terminated, or we would probably move to another planet and sustain life there. There is no reason for us to eveolve to the point where we would be able to live underwater.

of course, there is no reason why not once they either develop humans that can live underwater without harm by crosscloning (cloning by mixing small bits of DNA with other species) or by developing oxygen tanks and pressure suits good enough to support humans deep underwater.

maybe outer space, underwater would require oxygen which means you would need gills or even oxygen tanks.
